Today, I'd like to talk a little about the thoughts behind our brand name.
A surprising shop name that even our Vietnamese friends were surprised by
When we first launched our shop, our local friends often asked us, "Why did you choose that name?"
In Vietnam, it's common for company and shop names to use "big, grand, and powerful words."
However, ít ít (pronounced "it it") in our shop name means "little by little" in Vietnamese.
There's a reason why we deliberately chose this word, despite being told to "go bigger and flashier!"
Crafting things that add a "little" color to everyday life
What we want to create are not just cheap, one-time souvenirs. Instead, we want the warmth of Vietnam to gradually seep into your daily lives after you return to Japan.
"Oh, I bought this necklace at that shop in Ho Chi Minh."
"Carrying this bag reminds me of the scenery of Hoi An."
We want to deliver items that gently blend into your daily life in this way. That's why the unpretentious phrase "little by little (ít ít)" resonated with us so much.
