[Behind the Brand] One-of-a-kind accessory boxes, born in the back alleys (hẻm) of Vietnam.

Hello! This is Meg from ít ít Vietnam.
Today, I'd like to tell you about the "boxes" that hold our accessories.

Jewelry made from Vietnamese ceramic fragments arranged in an open accessory box. Features the ít ít logo.

All ít ít Việt Nam accessories are presented to customers in our original boxes. These boxes are so special to me that I consider them "Ho Chi Minh City itself in 2026."

A small box shop in an alleyway

The boxes are made by a very small box shop located in a narrow alleyway in Ho Chi Minh City called a "hẻm."

When you open the factory door, you'll see elderly men and women diligently working. Instead of being made by machine, each sheet of paper that forms the surface of the box is carefully glued by hand. Their dedicated postures are truly endearing, and you can feel the gentle care put into each and every box.

The "stamp" we arrived at after trial and error

Actually, there's a secret to the "ít ít Việt Nam" logo on the lid of the box. This logo is actually hand-stamped by our staff, one by one, with great care.

Initially, we considered using a common "foil stamping" logo at the factory. However, the finished product just didn't quite match the atmosphere of our brand. After much trial and error to figure out "how to convey our unique warmth," we arrived at this hand-stamped logo.

The slight variations in the density and position of the stamp are proof that we are directly breathing life into each box.

"Imperfections" are a sign of living in present-day Vietnam

Because they are handmade, sometimes there might be a little glue or a slight distortion in shape. This might be a sight rarely seen in Japan today, but I believe it's precisely what gives Vietnam its unique charm.

It's because there's a human warmth that perfectly manufactured industrial products lack.

Surviving together

Of course, if we placed large orders with a big factory, the cost would be lower. But we intentionally chose to walk with this small box shop.

We want to support small businesses that feel like they might be swallowed by bigger waves, and above all, we want to sweat alongside them and "survive together."

May the accessories we create reach you, along with the warmth of the handicraft born in a small alleyway in Vietnam.

Finally

When you're shopping, if you happen to pick up a box, please feel its "texture." We would be delighted if you could feel a little bit of the Ho Chi Minh City air and our warmth.

We look forward to seeing you at ít ít Việt Nam, right next to Ben Thanh Market and Hoi An Ancient Town! 🤍
