【Ho Chi Minh City】A "Foot Journey" Through Beautiful Tiles: Capturing an "Emotional" Photo with Mesh Sandals at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum
Hello, this is Meg from ít ít Việt Nam.
Today, I want to talk about a shoe that, while deeply rooted in local Vietnamese life, is currently very popular among Vietnam lovers in Japan as "Vietnamese Mesh Sandals," and also about my favorite museum in Ho Chi Minh City.
Why not embark on a journey to find your favorite floor tiles at the "Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum," a place where you can capture the most "emotional" photos in Ho Chi Minh City while wearing these nostalgic and lovely sandals?
Nostalgia of Light and Shadow, Woven by History

The "Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum," located in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, is housed in a magnificent French colonial mansion built in 1929.
With its elegant yellow gradient walls and beautifully aged wooden window louvers, stepping inside feels like entering a world of dramatic light and shadow, where the outside hustle and bustle magically disappears.

The museum showcases representative Vietnamese art and modern art, with the historic architecture itself feeling like a work of art.

The Magic of Cute Vietnamese Floor Tiles × Mesh Sandals
When visiting this museum, you absolutely must pay attention to the beauty of the "floor tiles." Each room and corridor is adorned with different antique tiles, all featuring breathtakingly delicate and charming designs.
I tried taking some foot photos, paired with my favorite mesh sandals.
Sparkling Yellow Antique Tiles in the Light

These geometric yellow-based tiles distinctly echo the French colonial architecture. The soft light streaming in from the windows makes the gold embroidery and beads on the mesh sandals sparkle delicately. The combination of the classical tile patterns and the sheer transparency of the sandals creates a captivating sight that makes your heart flutter every time you look down at your feet.
Dramatic Terracotta Woven with Light and Shadow

Here, the atmosphere completely changes with a rustic and warm terracotta (brick-colored) floor. The contrast of the beautiful lattice window shadows cast upon it is truly striking. Simply placing your feet gently within a strong frame of light allows the chic embroidery of the sandals to stand out, capturing a breathtakingly emotional photograph.
Classical Border Tiles Exuding Nostalgia

These are charming antique tiles with a somewhat nostalgic border pattern. I've paired my lovely mesh sandals with yellow floral embroidery with a striking red floral dress. The contrast between the retro tiles and vibrant red creates a nostalgic yet maturely charming scene, like something out of a vintage film.
Even within the same building, as you walk, the floor materials and the way light enters change, and with each step, the mesh sandals reveal a new charm.
Your Own Unique Souvenir Photo from Your Trip

Spend time slowly appreciating art, walking on your favorite floor with your favorite footwear. Whether it's a shot of your back as you walk down the beautiful corridors or a scene with your favorite tote bag slung over your shoulder, you can capture photos that look like they're from a movie scene from any angle.

Instead of just visiting tourist spots, embark on a journey to find "your own special thrill." I hope you find your favorite tiles!
